Should I wear accessories to work?

Accessorizing may be the last thing on your mind when your alarm clock rings, but pair of gorgeous earrings can negate bad hair days, elevate modest outfits and actually it is one of the easiest ways to dress up an otherwise drab outfit. But many hesitate between right or wrong accessories when going to work, it is one of a common question on a woman’s working mind.

Wearing the right outfit and accessories for the "right" office look is important. It sounds simple but believe me when you get up in a hurry in the morning and have to go through your closet for the right things to wear ain’t an easy task.
I would like to mention a few engagements most of us have at the office: a regular day at work, special conferences, office parties and even an interview.

MY solid rule, wear what suits you, feel comfortable and confident, keep it simple and elegant.
Here are some tips to get you the right office look and a few examples from my collections:

A day at work:  You can spice up your work outfit ( a suite or a dress) with some colorful or different materials jewelry. Today work place dressing have changed or evolved into something less rigid so I think we can all be a little experimental in the look. You should try statement pieces that are not in your face or add a splash of color to your monochrome outfit with a pair of earrings or a statement necklace.

Conferences: Conferences are usually formal affairs. You represent your company or your team so it is advisable to keep jewelry to elegant and simple. You should not wear big flashy jewelry. A nice way to give a touch to your look could be a bracelet and a pair of stud earrings. A pearl necklace is a good option that goes well with formal outfits.

Office parties: Though it is still in a framework of the office I would take this opportunity to jazz up my outfit with gorgeous accessories. You may choose a chunky statement neckpiece and a lovely ring or a stack of bracelets.

Interviews: Here you should keep jewelry always simple whenever you appear for an interview. Go for stud pearl, gold or diamond. You can go for hoops but avoid any flashy ones.

Keep your accessories to the minimum, choose a single pearl necklace to be elegant rather than flashy.
The way you look, projects the way you feel, therefore wear what suits you with a touch of “something”….. a scarf, earrings, necklace, or a bracelet. Be simple and elegant !!!
